Care

The Romilly Nursing Home

Best standards of care

At the Romilly, each resident is allocated a team which is led by a Registered General Nurse, who is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating care for those residents in her care. Two senior care assistants then assist each team leader to supervise junior care staff ensuring the best standards of care are always maintained.  We accept residents at the Romilly on a trial basis if needed which can last up to one month.

Food and dining

The Romilly recognises that food and drink play an enormously important part in the social lives of the residents.  With this in mind, we have provided an unhurried, welcoming environment in the dining room where we encourage social interaction as well as nourishment.  Three full meals are provided daily, the menus are nourishing, varied and are regularly reviewed, however residents are offered an alternative or specially designed diet if required.  Residents only need to ask for drinks or snacks at any other times.

Nurse Call System

We have installed a “state of the art” “nurse call” system, which is linked to all rooms and is monitored regularly.

Medical equipment

All wet areas have handrails fitted and are designed with the frail and elderly in mind. Medical equipment such as pressure relieving aids, mattresses, handling belts and discs are used in support of our minimum handling policy.  Nebulisers and facilities for blood tests are also available.
